Brighter Whitehead was established to ensure our town always looks its best. We will again be representing Northern Ireland in Britain in Bloom so 2008 is a busy year for us, please join us to ensure success.
Latest News and Events
Britain in Bloom judging will take place on Wednesday 13th August 2008. Last year Whitehead received the Britain in Bloom Bronze award at Coventry Cathedral. See news section and gallery.
The environmental improvements at Beach Road Nature Reserve have now been completed. For further information on this newly improved resource for Whitehead download the Beach Road Nature Reserve Leaflet or visit the Beach Road Nature Reserve at www.beachroad.org.uk.

The Carrickfergus in Bloom Community Competitions are now underway and we would encourage all Whitehead residents to take part. The competitions include the Best Kept Front Garden and Window Box Competitions. Children can take part in the Painting, Poetry, Giant Pumpkin and Tallest Sunflower competitions. Local businesses may participate by entering the Best Kept Commercial Premises section. Internet users and keen photographers can also enter the web based Virtual Flower Show.
